Health and Safety

The Equipment

  • Only high quality, specialist products are used – Global Colours, Tag Body Art, Grimas, Diamond FX, Ben Nye, Kryolan, FAB. All products used are safe and FDA approved and EU compliant. The paints are water based and contain anti-bacterial agents. Only cosmetic grade glitter is used.

  • Paints wash off the skin quite easily with a bit of soap and water. Some paints may leave a slight stain; like green colours tend to have longer staying power but it is not permanent and soon fades away. With the nature of children, they may accidentally rub the paint onto clothes. This can be rinsed out easily with detergent and warm water.

  • A fresh clean sponge will be used per child and water will be changed frequently. The equipment will be cleaned and well maintained before, during and after an event.

  • We ask the public not to touch or handle the equipment to ensure cleanliness is maintained.

  • We ask other children and adults to stay clear of the workspace whilst someone is being painted.

  • Painters continue to enhance their skills by attending training, seminars and conventions with other, renowned international face painters to ensure we stay at the forefront of the industry.

The painter reserves the right not to paint:

  • Children under 3 years old. 2 year olds may have a simple design on the back of their hand at the discretion of the painter.

  • Any child who appears as though they don’t want to be painted, even if their parent has other wishes.

  • Any children who can’t express their own wishes.

  • Any child who appears sick, has a contagious condition or a runny nose, etc.

  • Any child who may have any cuts, skin condition or dermatitis. Please understand this is not to be exclusive but merely for hygiene purposes. If possible we may suggest a design be painted on another area.

  • If the child has sensitive skin, we will do a patch test first to see how the skin copes and will ask you to return for your face to be painted after 30 minutes if the test is successful.

  • The painter reserves the right not to paint any person who they feel should not be painted and the Face Painter’s discretion must be respected.
